About
I am a mother of two and have been married to Jason since 2002. We had our children at home with a midwife and my second child was born under water. When I got pregnant with my first child I had no idea how the medical world had taken something so natural and beautiful and made it so medical and mechanical. I always knew I wanted to have a natural childbirth, but it wasn’t until I got pregnant and started to research all the drugs that hospitals use for induction and pain relief that I knew why.
After all that research, I decided that I wanted to help other families be educated and informed
about their pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
I had received my BS in Psychology and I thought the way to go at this point was to become a
certified Bradley Method® teacher. I taught for 1 year and wanted more training as a birth
doula and received my training with ALACE (Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators).
I have been working with pregnant momma’s since 2005 and love being an educator, doula and breast-feeding supporter.
